What this is

GoodCode is a studio of senior designers and engineers who work directly with product teams at security, AI, and enterprise software companies. We are US-based and remote, and we have been doing this since 2021, mostly with companies whose buyers are technical and whose screens are dense. If you have talked to us, you have talked to the people who will do the work.

How it started

Austin, 2021.

Austin {FOUNDER_LAST} started GoodCode in 2021 after {FOUNDER_BACKGROUND}.

Clients who came back for a second project got the same people on it, which is the part most studios cannot promise, and the reason our work arrives by referral rather than by pitch.

How we work

Four things you can hold us to.

01You get a shared Slack channel with the people doing the work in it. Not an account manager relaying questions.
02You have standing access to the work in progress, the same file and the same branch we are in. No milestone reveals.
03Something visible lands every week. If a week produces nothing you can look at, we tell you why before you ask.
04You own everything, including source files and design history, and it transfers without a conversation about it.

Read the code first.

{OSS_PROJECT} is our {OSS_DESCRIPTION}, and it exists because we needed it on client work and would rather maintain it in the open than rebuild it privately every year.

You can read all of it, and the rest of our public work, before hiring the people who wrote it.

Where we are

Remote and US-based. Once a year the whole company gets in one room for {GATHERING_LENGTH}, which is the only week nobody is on a call. The registered entity is {LEGAL_ENTITY}, if your procurement or security review needs it in writing.
